Dallas, TX, native Brooke Meyer is a certified physician assistant who joined the South Carolina team in 2016. She is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants, the South Carolina Academy of Physician Assistants, and the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants. Her formal educational training includes:
- Texas A&M University (College Station, TX) – BS, Community Health (magna cum laude)
- The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center (Dallas, TX) – MS, Physician Assistant Studies
During her years at Texas A&M, Brooke served as Treasurer and then Vice President of Eta Sigma Gamma, a national health education honor society. She was awarded with the College of Education Distinguished Honor Graduate Award for leadership, academic excellence, and service. After graduation, Brooke coordinated an after-school program for underprivileged children in Dallas. In addition, she enjoyed several semesters of theological training at Dallas Theological Seminary.
During her physician assistant training at The University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center, Brooke served as class Secretary and participated in many service projects, including health screenings at the Mexican Consulate and an immunization clinic. In her last semester of training, she was one of three physician assistant students inducted into Alpha Eta, the national scholastic honor society for the Allied Health Professions.
Brooke resides in Greenville and enjoys exploring new mountainous surroundings, serving at church, and laughing a lot with her husband, Jeremy, two children, and Aussiedoodle puppy.
