Dr. Uzoamaka Ukoha is a board-certified dermatologist that specializes in the prevention, detection, and treatment of skin cancer, as well as other disorders of the skin, hair, and nails. Her formal educational training includes:
- Duke University (Durham, NC) – BS, Biology
- University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center (Dallas, TX) – Medical School
- Texas Health Presbyterian (Dallas, TX) – Internal Medicine Internship
- Baylor College of Medicine (Houston, TX) – Dermatology Residency
Dr. Ukoha’s involvement in research/clinical trials has facilitated a host of publications in major dermatology journals including the Journal of the American Academy of Dermatology and Dermatologic Surgery. She is an active member of the American Academy of Dermatology, the American Medical Association, the Texas Medical Association, the Skin of Color Society, the Women’s Dermatologic Society, the American Contact Dermatitis Society, the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, the Houston Dermatological Society, and the Texas Dermatological Society. During her time in medical school, she was nominated as a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Society as well as the Gold Humanism Honor Society. She also served as Administrative Chief Resident during her last year of residency.
In her spare time, Dr. Ukoha enjoys cycling on her Peloton, spending time with family and friends, trying new restaurants, traveling, and binge-watching TV shows.
