Ryan Trout, PA-C, is a board-certified physician assistant accredited by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) with a special interest in early skin cancer detection, rashes, acne, cysts, and cosmetic injectables. Ryan treats patients of all ages at three office locations, from Charleston to Summerville. He is also a member of the dermatology research team at Clinical Research Center of the Carolinas.
His formal education and training include:
- University of South Carolina (Columbia, SC) – Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science, Scientific Foundations, with a minor in Biology
- University of South Carolina School of Medicine (Columbia, SC) – Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies
During his undergraduate years at the University of South Carolina, Ryan worked as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), a dermatology medical assistant, and a teaching assistant for the Department of Organic Chemistry.
Ryan is a Diplomate Fellow of the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants (SDPA) and a member of both the American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA) and the South Carolina Academy of Physician Assistants (SCAPA).
Outside of the clinic, Ryan enjoys spending time on the water with family, racing dirt bikes, and playing golf.
