Amanda Geiter, PA-C, is a certified physician assistant accredited by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA). She practices medical, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology, with special interest in skin cancer screening, acne, cysts, scars, scalp and hair disorders, as well as eczema, psoriasis, and other skin conditions. Amanda brings extensive surgical training to her dermatology care, performing surgical excisions of non-melanoma skin cancers, inflamed cysts, and other skin lesions.
Her formal education and training includes:
- Binghamton University (Binghamton, NY) – BS, Cellular and Molecular Biology
- Upstate Medical University (Syracuse, NY) – MS, Physician Assistant Studies
Amanda has previous experience in burn surgery at the South Carolina Burn Center at the Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC), as well as trauma surgery and critical care at a level-one trauma center in Richmond, Virginia. She has dedicated her career to providing patient-centered and compassionate medical care and support to patients and families during what are often the most traumatic and painful moments of their lives.
Amanda is a member of the American Academy of Physician Assistants (AAPA), the South Carolina Academy of Physician Assistants (SCAPA), and the Society of Dermatology Physician Assistants (SDPA).
On her days off, Amanda enjoys early morning trips to the beach with her husband, Josh, and her dog, Brody (with lots of sunscreen and big hats, of course). She is also an avid DIYer, crocheter, and plant lady.
