Dr. Darren Kempton is a board-eligible dermatologist with expertise in a broad range of medical and surgical dermatology. In addition to treating all conditions of the skin, hair, and nails, he focuses on the prevention, early detection, and surgical treatment of skin cancer. His formal education and training include:
- Arizona State University (Tempe, AZ) – BS, Kinesiology (summa cum laude)
- Northern Arizona University (Flagstaff, AZ) – Doctor of Physical Therapy (with distinction)
- University of Arizona College of Medicine (Tucson, AZ) – Doctor of Medicine
- Intermountain Medical Center (Murray, UT) – Transitional Internship
- University of New Mexico (Albuquerque, NM) – Dermatology Residency
During his training, Dr. Kempton received several honors and awards, including the Medical Award of Excellence, and induction into Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA). He was previously a physical therapist and provided care to active-duty personnel at Davis Monthan Air Force Base. He has volunteered his time and services to several community organizations and contributed to multiple dermatologic presentations and publications. He is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology (AAD).
In his spare time, Dr. Kempton enjoys outdoor activities such as mountain biking, rock climbing, and pickleball.
