Dr. Glenn “Todd” Bessinger is a board-certified dermatologist with expertise in general, surgical, and tropical dermatology. A U.S. Army veteran with dermatology experience spanning more than two decades, he specializes in skin cancer surgery and laser treatments. His formal education and training include:

- Tulane University Graduate School (New Orleans, LA) – PhD, Parasitology
- Tulane School of Public Health & Tropical Medicine (New Orleans, LA) – MPH, Tropical Medicine
- Walter Reed Army Medical Center (Washington, DC) – Transitional Internship
- National Capital Consortium (Bethesda, MD) – Dermatology Residency
- University of California, Los Angeles (Los Angeles, CA) – MBA
Throughout his career, Dr. Bessinger has held several leadership roles, including serving as chief of dermatology both at Tripler Army Medical Center in Honolulu, Hawaii, and Darnall Army Community Hospital in Fort Hood, Texas. He later practiced in private dermatology in Honolulu before founding Hawaii Dermatology & Plastic Surgery Centers. He has also contributed to medical education as a clinical instructor for the Military Tropical Medicine Course at the Naval School of Health Sciences (NSHS) in Bethesda, Maryland.
Dr. Bessinger is a diplomate of the American Board of Dermatology (ABD) and a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology (FAAD). He is also board-certified in clinical tropical medicine and travelers’ health by the American Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene (ASTMH), and has served as president of the Hawaii Dermatological Society.
In his spare time, Dr. Bessinger enjoys spending time with his family and his Dalmatians.
