Dr. Janessa England is a board-certified dermatologist with expertise in a broad range of medical and surgical dermatology treatments. She is focused on the prevention, early detection, and surgical treatment of skin cancer. Her formal education and training include:
- University of Missouri-Kansas City School of Medicine Six Year Program (Kansas City, MO) – BLA and Doctor of Medicine
- Tripler Army Medical Center (Honolulu, HI) – Transitional Medicine Internship
- San Antonio Military Medical Center (San Antonio, TX) – Dermatology Residency
Dr. England has served as a dermatology staff member for the Womack Army Medical Center in Fort Liberty, North Carolina where she served as dermatology chief and academic director for dermatology student rotators. She received two awards for top educator of the year. She has contributed to numerous medical publications, abstracts, and presentations, and during her training, was involved in a variety of committee assignments and administrative services.
She has provided volunteer dermatology outreach and free skin screenings throughout San Antonio, Texas, and was part of the Global Medical Brigades Mission in Honduras. She received the Resident International Grant from the American Academy of Dermatology to practice dermatology in Botswana.
Dr. England is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology (AAD), the Texas Dermatological Society (TDS), the American Medical Association (AMA), and Health Volunteers Overseas (HVO).
In her spare time, Dr. England enjoys spending time with her family, doing yoga, reading, and hiking.
