Dr. Jon Baker is a board-certified dermatologist with a passion for general, surgical, and cosmetic dermatology. His formal education and training include:
- Wabash College (Crawfordsville, IN) – BA, Biology
- Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons (New York City, NY) – Doctor of Medicine
- Naval Medical Center (San Diego, CA) – Transitional Medicine Internship
- Naval Medical Center (San Diego, CA) – Dermatology Residency
Dr. Baker served in the military as a naval flight surgeon, and after completing his residency he spent 2 years as the only dermatologist in the island of Guam before returning to the residency program in San Diego to teach and mentor dermatology residents in training. One of the highlights of his military career was spending 5 months as the dermatologist on a medical humanitarian mission through Central and South America.
He is a fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology (AAD) and has worked as a faculty physician at Kaiser San Diego.
In his spare time, Dr. Baker enjoys spending time with his wife, Dr. Brittany Baker and their children, hiking, camping, skiing, and outdoor activities in general.
