Dr. Travis came to dermatology from an artistic background, having studied design and architecture as well as science, at Cornell University. After completing her bachelor’s degree, she pursued her medical degree at the State University of New York in Brooklyn. She soon found that dermatology was the perfect medium to merge her visual sensibilities with her passion for positively impacting people’s lives. Her philosophy is to embrace lifelong learning and pay it forward by training future dermatologists at NYU Langone Medical Center, Department of Dermatology.
She has a passion for the treatment of Hidradenitis Suppurativa (HS), a painful, often underdiagnosed skin condition, even spending time in Denmark training with experts. She offers a comprehensive, up-to-date approach to HS treatment, combining medical therapies such as antibiotics, biologics, hormonal treatments, and nutritional counseling.
Dr. Travis is an active member of professional societies, including the American Academy of Dermatology (AAD) and the American Society for Dermatologic Surgery (ASDS). She has been listed as a New York Magazine top doctor since 2021 and the Castle Connolly Top Doctors New York Metro Area since 2018.
In her free time, Dr. Travis loves to travel and spend time with her husband, three kids, and their adorable Labradoodle puppy, Hudson.
