Dr. Mary Ann Martinez is a board-certified dermatologist that specializes in the prevention, early detection, and treatment of skin cancer, as well as improving the aesthetics of patients’ skin. Her formal education and training include:
- University of Texas at Austin (Austin, TX) – BA, Biology
- University of Texas Health Science Center San Antonio (San Antonio, TX) – Doctor of Medicine (Alpha Omega Alpha (AΩA))
- University of Texas Medical Branch (Galveston, TX) – Internal Medicine Internship
- Duke University Medical Center (Durham, NC) – Dermatology Residency
After residency, Dr. Martinez returned to Texas, settling in Austin. She worked with a multispecialty group and then opened her privately-owned solo practice, Bee Caves Dermatology in 1999.
A fellow of the American Academy of Dermatology (AAD), Dr. Martinez provides comprehensive dermatologic care for patients of all ages. She has special interest in adolescent and adult acne, skin cancer prevention, skin cancer detection, female dermatology, and antiaging skin care. Her cosmetic interests include Botox® Cosmetic, dermal fillers, Kybella®, and chemical peels.
A Texas native, Dr. Martinez is married with two adult children and a boxer dog. In her spare time, she enjoys gardening, dog walks, and watching her children’s softball and baseball games.
