Committed to providing Epiphany patients access to care and an exceptional financial experience, Shannen oversees revenue operations. She partners with providers, management, and employees by providing feedback and best practice education. Shannen also works with health insurance companies to ensure claims are paid correctly. She also oversees patient billing to ensure they get to use their insurance benefits as designed and have any questions addressed. She is always seeking ways to improve overall revenue cycle performance whether it’s through communication and education to staff, holding insurance companies accountable, leveraging IT automation, or implementing updated processes and methodologies to enhance efficiencies.
Shannen received her Bachelor of Science in Business Management from Southeastern University, with a Minor in Finance. Her initial introduction to healthcare began over 10 years ago where she worked for a national multisite oncology organization. There she focused on optimizing financial performance and patient access across 100+ facilities.
Shannen is married with two toddlers. She enjoys baking with her kids, traveling, and just about any activity in the great outdoors.
