Dr. Hannah Thompson is a dermatology resident physician who specializes in the prevention, detection, and treatment of skin cancer, as well as inflammatory skin diseases such as psoriasis, eczema, and acne. She is experienced in complex dermatologic conditions involving the hair, skin, and nails and sees patients of all ages. Her formal education and training include:

- University of Iowa Carver College of Medicine (Iowa City, IA) – Doctor of Medicine
- University of Iowa – Des Moines (Des Moines, IA) – Internal Medicine Program
- University of Iowa Department of Dermatology (Iowa City, IA) – Dermatology Residency
During her training, Dr. Thompson was involved in several research projects and gave back to those in and around Iowa City through her active community service and volunteering activities. These included performing free medical examinations at the Iowa City Free Dermatology Clinic, participating in the Free Medical Mobile Clinic for underserved citizens, and providing healthcare and STEM-related learning opportunities to local K-12 school children, to name a few.
She is a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha (AOA) and Phi Beta Kappa (PBK) organizations and is a proud alumnus of the University of Iowa Marching Band.
In her spare time, Hannah enjoys all things sports and music and being outdoors: hiking, biking, kayaking, hunting, and fishing. She is a self-proclaimed foodie who will venture to any restaurant near and far to try their most famous dish.
