Whitney Call

Whitney Call, DO

Dr. Whitney L. Call is a board-certified dermatologist and fellowship-trained Mohs micrographic surgeon with a passion for providing individualized, high-quality care in both general and surgical dermatology. Dr. Call feels an incredible sense of fulfillment when helping patients navigate through their skin cancer removal, as well as the intricate, detail-oriented reconstruction designed to help patients look and feel confident following Mohs surgery. Her formal education and training include:

  • Idaho State University (Pocatello, ID) – BS, Clinical Laboratory Science
  • Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine (Kirksville, MO) – Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine
  • San Antonio Military Medical Center (Fort Sam Houston, TX) – Transitional Year Internship
  • San Antonio Military Medical Center (Fort Sam Houston, TX) – Dermatology Residency
  • Dayton Skin Care (Dayton, OH) – Mohs Micrographic Surgery and Dermatologic Oncology Fellowship

Dr. Call is a member of the American Academy of Dermatology (AAD), the Association of Military Dermatologists (AMD), the Women’s Dermatologic Society (WDS), the Nevada Society for Dermatology and Dermatologic Surgery (NSDDS), and the American College of Mohs Surgery (ACMS). She has spent much of her time practicing in the Air Force as a general medical officer, a dermatologist, a mentor, and a flight commander. She has received numerous honors and academic awards while pursuing her education, as well as military awards in recognition for resident research activity and military service.

During her Air Force career, Dr. Call first served as a General Medical Officer, providing primary care services for basic trainees at Lackland AFB in San Antonio, TX. She later served as the Chief of Dermatology at Scott AFB in southern Illinois, where she sought out various leadership positions, both within the military and the local medical community. In addition, she was an Assistant Professor at both the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences (USUHS) and St. Louis University. Dr. Call has presented at local, regional, and national dermatology meetings, and has published multiple articles in the dermatologic literature.

In her spare time, Dr. Call enjoys spending time with her three daughters. Additionally, she enjoys early morning workouts, ballroom dancing, traveling, reading, hiking, and water skiing.
