Have you ever had a rash that just wouldn’t go away? Many people don’t know they have an allergy because reactions are often delayed. Patch testing involves applying a purified allergen to a person’s skin to see if it causes an allergic reaction.
Melasma is a skin condition that creates brown patches of skin in areas that get significant sun exposure. Our skilled team members work hard restoring your skin and helping you achieve a smooth, even complexion.
Acne can have a big impact on your life, which is why we take acne treatment very seriously and use aggressive treatment plans when necessary. Our staff is passionate about treating acne to prevent the emotional and physical scars that can last a lifetime.
Hair Loss (Alopecia)
The cause of male pattern hair loss can typically be summed up in one word – genetics. If you’d like to learn more, we can educate you about the treatment options and possible side effects to help you determine the best course of action.
Moles are the most common skin growth and there are several reasons to have them removed or checked. Moles that appear to be changing or any new moles after age 30 should be checked by our team. Early detection of melanoma is critical.
Psoriasis is an inflammation in the skin driven by the body’s own immune system. The inflammation in the skin causes red, itchy, and scaly lesions mainly around elbows, knees and scalp. While not contagious, it’s important to seek the help of a dermatologist.
Sun spots are light brown to tan spots that appear on the skin and are usually from sun exposure. The most common body areas affected are the face, shoulders, arms, and hands. They are usually benign, however, skin cancer can develop a lesion.
Mohs Surgery (On-Site Skin Cancer Removal)
Mohs surgery spares the most amount of normal tissue and has the highest cure rates for many non-melanoma and melanoma skin cancers. It’s the gold standard of care in non-melanoma skin cancers and is commonly used in the treatment of some melanomas.
Body Contouring (CoolSculpting®, EMSculpt®, SculpSure®, etc)
Body contouring improves the contour of the body by heating, freezing, or applying energy to targeted areas. Using non-invasive devices, we can remove fat, tone muscle, and tighten the skin to enhance the overall body contour appearance.
Cheek Filler (Voluma™, Restylane® Lyft, Sculptra® Aesthetic, Radiesse®)
Patients may think of cheek fillers as filling out fine lines and wrinkles and adding volume to thin lips. But filler can also be a non-invasive option to enhance the cheekbone area, which can minimize the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles around the injection site.
Most people don’t realize that there are several kinds of peels great for improving the appearance of the skin. Chemical peels should be done in a series of three to six peels. For best results, we recommend a series of six peels, three weeks apart.
Cosmetic Lesion Removal
We offer cosmetic lesion removal of benign skin growths that may include seborrheic keratoses, sebaceous hyperplasia (overgrown oil glands), skin tags, or milia. These procedures may be performed by a board-certified dermatologist, trained medical staff, or a licensed aesthetician.
Lasers (IPL, Fractional Lasers, Red Light, Blue Light, etc)
The Icon Laser Scar Treatment is non-ablative, meaning it doesn’t cut the skin. This laser generates columns of heat that go under the deep dermis to cause inflammation. The remaining tissue produces collagen and elastin which work to heal the skin.
As our skin thins over time, it more easily creases with muscle movement. Our treatments prevent wrinkles because they lessen this movement. With injections, these toxins block the muscles. When the muscle stops contracting, the skin stops bending.
Sculptra® and Sculptra® Aesthetic Injections
While the results of other dermal fillers are more immediate, the results of Sculptra Aesthetic are seen over time. As collagen is reinforced, volume to the face and chin is slowly restored, giving patients a more aesthetically subtle treatment option.
